A little update---

This is some of what has been happening in our home lately--
CIDER canning!!! YUMMMY!!!

The best part-- the apples to make the cider were FREE and the jars I canned them in were FREE too!!

Yep- I listed my first "WANTED" ad on Freecycle and recived a few replies!! One of the boxes of FREE jars were even Longenberger Canning Jars-- I didn't know there was such a thing-- they are very "cute"!! (now those of you who receive them as gifts will KNOW my secret!! oh well!

I ended up with I believe 48 Quarts of canned Applecider!!

I wasn't alone in the kitchen-- here is a picture of my little helper!!

We did have some "drama" this week-- we had a BABY SQUIRREL in our BEDROOM!!!!!! EEEKK I was VERY upset-- I hate mice -- a dreadful fear of them as a matter of fact-- and a squirrel is nothing more than a mouse with a FLUFFY TAIL!!! I do believe all is well-- hubby took care of it and took care of some issues with the drop ceiling in our bedroom.....THANK YOU HUBBY!! He also helped so much the next day-- he brought home breakfast and lunch-- because he knew I was still pretty shaken and also had a lot of canning to get accomplished--- He really is my "hero" and the love of my life!
Tuesday we were able to squeeze in a field trip-- and I do mean SQUEEZE!! One of the local Gettysburg attractions had a free day for certain people to see a Film and the NEW cyclorama. As much as Zachary loves the blue and gray--how could I pass that up? So we went-- we all had a great time. We didn't do anything else--as we visit Gettysburg quite often.
Today was a Harvest Party with our local hs co-op--- that was nice-- we were able to dress up in a historical costume of our choice-- the boys-- you guessed it- One union soldier and one confederate!! Me-- oh well I dressed up as a "Ma Ingalls wanna be"--- I couldn't pass up the hat at the store while buying the boys!! I can't believe I wore it-- I usually chicken out at such things-- but I did it.... it wasn't so bad.
