Mussings from a 2 year old....

So the last 3 days I've had to call my father in law to share with him some of the "funnies" that I've encountered with my 2 year old...


He is so funny-- and truely believes he is the HEAD Farmer of this operation... LOL

We have a goat-- that is by far the hardest for us to get along with-- she is "kind" but really wants NO ONE NEAR her--- she is a "loner"-- not mean-- just a "loner" and don't try to catch her-- (she hasn't kidded YET-- how in the WORLD I'm gonna milk her is BEYOND ME)-- anyway--a few days ago while milking-- I looked over and what did I see-- IC (the goats name-- given before we bought her) RIGHT NEXT to the fence "talking" with Stephen!! WHAT!?!!

Yes--she will come RIGHT over to Stephen by the fence and even lick him!!

Well 2 days ago-- he had his face RIGHT up to the fence-- and she would give him a good lick-- and he said "What? I can't HEAR YOU" (in a SOOO funny 2 year old tone)-- and she would lick him again-- and he would say again "What? I can't HEAAARRR you".... and this went on probably 7-8 times-- I was LAUGHING so hard....

Well the next day-- I was milking and I looked over and what did I see-- but him LIFTING his shirt up-- putting his BARE BELLY up to the fence and telling IC "get my belly" (which is what he tells his daddy when he wants tickled)-- oh my goodness-- IC would lick him-- he would laugh and this too went on for about 10 minutes--- I don't think this blog is doing justice to JUST HOW FUNNY that really was!!!!

Then yesterday I was doing the dishes-- and Stephen-- told Rebekah "you MY girl Bubba" "You MY GIRL"-- so cute-- and that is because daddy always tells her she is his girl--and so now-- in a way ONLY Stephen could do it-- "she is now HIS girl"

Days like this-- make having a 2 year old a bit more bearable!! LOL

Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. You then experience the daily life of that character as you tour the museum. Day Book

The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them. Daybook for the week of June 12, 2016 Picture for the week........                                                The birthday boy -  He turned 12 on Saturday-- ( this picture is from Thanksgiving though, I haven't down loaded my phone pictures yet though.  ) Outside my window.....
