Fall at our house

Not to many exciting blog posts here-- just continuing thru the house--1 room at a time....
Yesterday I so wanted to snap a picture of my children catching leaves-- as the wind blowed-- but when I went outside-- they all gathered around me-- and didn't catch any more leaves... :(

I still went ahead and snapped a few pictures--of a beautiful, yet windy Fall October at our home.


Joshua heading up from checking the mail-- the brave one in a t-shirt. (He does have a sweatshirt, although we realized that we did move his tote of fall/winter clothes to the new house already-- so today when we go we will remedy that situation-- thankfully all the totes are CLEARLY labeled)
Zachary-- he looks like such a young MAN when he wears his hat and flannel jacket
Nathan-- cuddling close to mom in our ERGO.


Rebekah-- she has a pretty pink sweatshirt-- but she is KNOWN for getting VERY dirty so we put a flannel jacket on her-- in memory of my dad doing that to me-- OHHH SOOO many times growing up-- I was a MAJOR "tom boy".


My guys-- just having fun and getting some fresh air and sun.

Oh my these letters have been SOOOOO  encouraging to me like NOTHING else. She inspired me to spend my morning with the Lord, waiting on Him, listening to Him. She inspired me to love my husband and put him right after the Lord She inspired me to raise and love and train my children in many areas And lastly she even touched on keeping my home, to bring honor to the Lord. Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. As you enter, you'll choose a card with a photo of one of eight immigrant characters, who are fictional composites based on historical facts. You then experience the daily life of that character as you tour the museum. Day Book

The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them. Daybook for the week of June 12, 2016 Picture for the week........                                                The birthday boy -  He turned 12 on Saturday-- ( this picture is from Thanksgiving though, I haven't down loaded my phone pictures yet though.  ) Outside my window..... Things are green, and showers today have made my garden very happy I am thinking..... About starting in with some school for the kids next week. About dipping our feet in with some potty training.
