Fast and Furious KITCHEN- After

Okay-- so here are few quick pics of my AFTER KITCHEN.... Wheww this Fast and Furious Kitchen cleaning-- took a LOT of work-- 2 full days---and - there are still 2 things I need to do when I get home with Jason today-- I need to clean the oven (self cleaning) and re-wash the floor again.
All the cupboards are washed inisde and out-- and most of my dishes are packed. (I kept out our green plastic ones)-- a lot of extra mugs are packed, and extra baking cooking pans-- I kept JUST the minimum!!

I cleaned under the stove, under the dishwasher, the refrigerator gets caught on the lineoleum so I need help to move that-- I also washed and packed these curtains too.....



Ahhh it feels good to be done- now today-- will be the Fast and Furious Livingroom and also the bathroom-- it needs a LOT of attention-- and my dear mother in law is coming tomorrow to help me tend to Jason... so today will be a busy cleaning day!!

Oh and as always the key for me in this-- was to keep the dinning room clean-- not to let that room pile back up-- but always go back re-touch the rooms already done--- and THEN move forward....

Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. As you enter, you'll choose a card with a photo of one of eight immigrant characters, who are fictional composites based on historical facts. You then experience the daily life of that character as you tour the museum. Day Book

The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them. Daybook for the week of June 12, 2016 Picture for the week........                                                The birthday boy -  He turned 12 on Saturday-- ( this picture is from Thanksgiving though, I haven't down loaded my phone pictures yet though.  ) Outside my window.....
