Simple Woman's Daybook

I so miss doing these--- I am going to do mine on Tuesday-- because that is really the first "real" day of my week due to hubbys schedule.

Outside My Window
It is cold, dark and rainy-- not a great way to start the day.....
Listening to
My coffee maker working hard to get my coffee ready, and the boys sitting in the living room reading their new library books.
To be Fit and Happy
I haven't been working out like I was-- I need to go ahead and buy one of those "Walk Away the Pounds" DVD's and make it a priority again. I am holding at the weight I was losing though, so that is good.

Another plus are these Super Mom Vitamins I am taking-- they REALLY do make all the difference-- I can feel a difference within 45 minutes of taking them....
I am Thankful For
A husband to is so kind to help with cooking on his days off-- I could really get spoiled after his cooking on Sundays and Mondays!! What a treat....

A long swaying light jean skirt with a navy blue sweatshirt, bare feet which need to be covered soon... burrrr

The boys have it in their rooms-- listening to books on CD's- this week "Charlotte's Web"- last week "Sign of the Beaver"
Toward a Real Education
Sticking to our schedule- we are using some Rod and Staff, Draw Write Now, Horizon (math) and Pathway Readers....
I am Thinking
About Jason's oral surgery on Friday-- I am very nervous about it-- he is having 3 teeth removed-- 2 wisdom and one other- I know the older you are-- the harder it is-- and I just have a feeling this is going to be a rough few days--- PRAYING all goes well and he does recover quickly.
Around the Hobby Farm
Just hoping weeks 3,4,5,6,7,8 go by FAST with these STINKY ol' Meat Chickens-- blech--they are so gross--
Milking is going very well-- not a big fan of milking muddy wet goats-- but even less looking forward to the COLD snowy mornings!!! :0
I am Reading
Hmmm not in the middle of reading anything right now-- I have on request at our Library-- Dr. Sears Vaccination book-- looking foward to reading that.
I am Praying
For Jason's surgery
A Few Plans for the Week
Just regular days-- packing-- deep cleaning--- and then Friday taking Jason to the oral Surgeons. (can you tell I'm a bit concerned?)

Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. As you enter, you'll choose a card with a photo of one of eight immigrant characters, who are fictional composites based on historical facts. You then experience the daily life of that character as you tour the museum. The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them. Daybook for the week of June 12, 2016 Picture for the week........                                                The birthday boy -  He turned 12 on Saturday-- ( this picture is from Thanksgiving though, I haven't down loaded my phone pictures yet though.  ) Outside my window.....
