Baby #6 update
Well today was my midwife appointment.
I have never blogged about pregnancies-- but I would like too-- again just as a record for MY memory-- because things are starting to get jumbled together.
This was only my 2nd meeting with my midwife-- once at 13 weeks and then today at 22 weeks. And that is nice..... no need to go every 4 weeks when things are fine, right?
Anyone who KNOWS me and KNOWS my pregnancies can tell you what happened today... what the news was-- the good, the bad-- the "normal" for Denise!
1) Babys heart rate is GREAT!! LOUD and ACTIVE little babe in there!! Not turned head down yet-- but that is FINE for this early on.
2) Denise is measuring 4+ weeks ahead!! Made the midwife take a 3rd and 4th measurement-- and it was acurate-- she felt the actual BABY-- she is GOOD at that!! I told her "this is what made the OB's so nervous"...she laughed-- and said she was NOT nervous!! Thank GOODNESS!!
3) Denise's blood pressure is HIGH-- yes-- this too has happened with EVERY SINGLE pregnancy!! Drive me crazy-- the weirdest part-- I felt it rising as I was driving to her house!! I could-- maybe white coat syndrome? We'll find out-- because I am going to track it here at home-- and see where we are at-- if it lowers-- GREAT-- if not-- she gave me some Garlic extract pills to take-- to help.
4) I have the papers to call about an ultrasound. We will only have 1-- just to see baby-- and say hello!! That will be so nice. vs. the OB's that GET SOOOO nervous and send me for 1 every 2 weeks at the end due to my measurements....
5) I don't have to go back for 6 more weeks!! March 1!
6) My vitamins (Super Mom) must be great-- my urine looks good.. (so glad I shared that with you, aren't you!! LOL)
I am getting very excited about this pregnancy-- I am getting very excited about the delivery-- I am excited-- because I think it is going to be SOOOOOOO much more relaxing-- so much LESS PRESSURE on me!! I am SOOOO looking forward to it!!

Will she have your blood sugar checked? I am a big believer in the 3 hour GGT (even though I hate having them done). Even my nutritionist friend in VA had hers done with her midwife & they watched her..Lots of PRO, limited carbs. She has always had big babies (til the last one w/ the midwife). (of course you are both very tall w/ tall husbands.. mike & i are both short. I guess my 8 pounder was big for me?!)..
