A few posts for the kitchen....

Very Limited Income for Real Food Purchases from Heavenly Homemakers.... I love this article-- as it is really where I am-- and her breakdown of what to keep is VERY similar to mine.....

"Food I’d Keep:

■Eggs – free range if possible
■Raw Milk – though we’d likely cut back to 1- 2 gallons a week
■Butter
■Fresh fruits and vegetables – in season and rationed – and I’d look high and low for free sources and I’d garden like crazy
■Venison – hunters often love to hunt but don’t always like the meat
■Beans – I’d likely get much more creative with my bean recipes!
■Rice
■Potatoes
■Wheat to grind and make my own flour "

Foods to Eat for Winter Wellness from Nourishing Days

When you need more enzymes why would you pasteurize your dairy? When you want to keep your vitamin D levels up why not eat eggs, liver, and cod liver oil?

Lastly and most importantly for our family-- per Jason's encouragment-- we are going to try this-- SUGAR FREE CHALLENGE.... it is only a week-- but my guess is-- if we make it a week-- why go back? Go for 2 or 4... right? But lets just get thru 1- We will be going with ONLY honey and maple syrup and Agave for sweetners during this CHALLENGE!! This will begin Monday-- I will try to post here how it is going..... I am really a bit nervous for some of us--- reading labels and staying HOME will be the best help for this challenge.....
