Garden 2011

Is it really time to have a Garden Post? There are 5+ inches of snow outside-- I fought it when the seed magazines came-- saying "I want to enjoy winter".... but then I printed out THIS NIFTY little schedule on when to plant seeds-- (indoors and out) and some of them-- it looks like March (they say February but I say NO WAY) is the time-- and so it really MAY BE time to order those seeds and get a game plan!!!!!!!!!!

I am very interested to see how our garden goes this year-- as

1- I will not be PREGNANT during the end (when I want to give up-- due to being 8 months pregnant) HOWEVER I will be 8 months pregnant during the very important beginning stages..... (I will probably not be GARDEN ready until June.....)

and

2- Now that we live here-- I am surrounded by my GARDEN guru friends--all of whom are wonderful sucessful gardeners-- so I am really hoping that will help encourage me----

3 Years, it has been 3 years since I have updated this blog. Hoping to continue to journal our happenings. First I wanted to leave a link for Laine's Letters. Oh my these letters have been SOOOOO  encouraging to me like NOTHING else. She inspired me to spend my morning with the Lord, waiting on Him, listening to Him. She inspired me to love my husband and put him right after the Lord She inspired me to raise and love and train my children in many areas And lastly she even touched on keeping my home, to bring honor to the Lord. Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. As you enter, you'll choose a card with a photo of one of eight immigrant characters, who are fictional composites based on historical facts. You then experience the daily life of that character as you tour the museum. Day Book

The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them. Daybook for the week of June 12, 2016 Picture for the week........                                                The birthday boy -  He turned 12 on Saturday-- ( this picture is from Thanksgiving though, I haven't down loaded my phone pictures yet though.  ) Outside my window.....
