Kids, Chores, Discipline--


After talking with one of my friends tonight about kids and chores-- I wanted to find my most favorite resource on Age Specific Responsibilities.... I absolutely LOVE this list-- and refer to it OFTEN when making new chore lists for the boys. Ofcourse everyone will need to make it fit THEIR family. You can do your own search for sample chore charts-- I personally do a new one each Sunday (same chores) but I re-print one each week and they hang them on the fridge and check them off as they do them.

The website I found this on years ago has changed-- but I was able to track it down-- and when I did-- I found a few other NEAT things:

A Parent's Prayer Calendar for their Children-- gives one topic and scripture to pray over your child each day of the month.

Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. Day Book

The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them. Daybook for the week of June 12, 2016 Picture for the week........                                                The birthday boy -  He turned 12 on Saturday-- ( this picture is from Thanksgiving though, I haven't down loaded my phone pictures yet though.  ) Outside my window.....
