My new DRESS


My new dress comes today--


I am so excited.. I have yet to buy anything really nice maternity since-- well Joshua probably (7 years ago) and I don't have anything Winter-- because all my babys are out by September usually.....


So when I saw a dear friends dress(s) that are PERFECT for materinty & nursing & for a LONG time-- I was THRILLED-- that I wont have to pack it up right after baby comes-- it is PERFECT!!

Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. Day Book

The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them.
