What an awesome ministry----


Samaritan Ministries-- is truely a ministry-- not just a "health insurance" option.


Jason and I have gone back and forth many times on this-- as his insurance thru his employer really has done us VERY well and covered many expenses.... (I know this is NOT true for all company's and employers)......





Watching my dear friend whose little one needed open heart surgery very soon after being born-- and watching God move MANY MANY MANY mountains for their family-- has been so awesome-- I can not begin to tell you how many mountains God has moved on their behalf-- but one of the ones I have really been impressed by-- was their medical needs/bills have been met--- TOTALLY by Christians-- not by the government-- not by greedy insurance companies-- but other Christians-- and not just Christians that send their "due" and are "done" but have been praying-- and praying-- and sending MANY MANY MANY notes of encouragment to the family-- what a BLESSING---- what an awesome MINISTRY!!!!

3 Years, it has been 3 years since I have updated this blog. Hoping to continue to journal our happenings. First I wanted to leave a link for Laine's Letters. Oh my these letters have been SOOOOO  encouraging to me like NOTHING else. She inspired me to spend my morning with the Lord, waiting on Him, listening to Him. She inspired me to love my husband and put him right after the Lord She inspired me to raise and love and train my children in many areas And lastly she even touched on keeping my home, to bring honor to the Lord. Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. As you enter, you'll choose a card with a photo of one of eight immigrant characters, who are fictional composites based on historical facts. You then experience the daily life of that character as you tour the museum. Day Book

The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them. Daybook for the week of June 12, 2016 Picture for the week........                                                The birthday boy -  He turned 12 on Saturday-- ( this picture is from Thanksgiving though, I haven't down loaded my phone pictures yet though.  ) Outside my window.....
