Simple Woman's Daybook January 24th

FOR TODAY... January 24, 2011

A Picture for the week~
Zachary on his 9th birthday. He will be celebrating his 10th birthday on Sunday!!




Outside my window... ~It is COLD outside-- they said it could be below zero with windchill last night-- that is COLD!!! I am enjoying this season of "inside" and "rest".... so thankful our goats are not kidding until March.


I am thinking... ~ I really wish we could ALL kick this cold. Thankfully everyone is well, except me this time. And for me, it is really just a HUGE head cold....


I am thankful for... ~ Dear friends in our church family


I am wearing... ~ (still in PJs) Black cuddle duds and a navy blue sweatshirt.-- I still MUST find some maternity skirts SOON...)



I am remembering... ~Zachary's last 10 years-- as his birthday is Sunday and I am always thinking back around this time-- and thinking ahead too..


I am going... ~hopefully nowhere this week-- UNTIL Friday-- Friday morning is our BIG ULTRA SOUND!!! yeaaaaaa Friday my dear friend is to come visit-- we haven't seen each other face to face in MONTHS!! I can't wait-- Friday is going to be a WONDERFUL DAY!!

I am hoping... ~ this is the last of this COLD for our family!!


On my mind... ~ A dear friend who is pregnant and due near the same time as me-- her baby needs prayers for healing


Noticing that... ~my toddler trainning needs to be RAMPED UP!!!


From the kitchen... ~LOTS of herbal tea, bone broth, saurkraut, hm yogurt, lots of goodies


Around the house... ~We were able to get that "deep clean" / "get the house in order" clean last week-- every room got it's "deep clean" except the Bathrooms-- and I will hopefully finish those today.

3 Years, it has been 3 years since I have updated this blog. Hoping to continue to journal our happenings. First I wanted to leave a link for Laine's Letters. Oh my these letters have been SOOOOO  encouraging to me like NOTHING else. She inspired me to spend my morning with the Lord, waiting on Him, listening to Him. She inspired me to love my husband and put him right after the Lord She inspired me to raise and love and train my children in many areas And lastly she even touched on keeping my home, to bring honor to the Lord. Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. As you enter, you'll choose a card with a photo of one of eight immigrant characters, who are fictional composites based on historical facts. You then experience the daily life of that character as you tour the museum. The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them. Daybook for the week of June 12, 2016 Picture for the week........                                                The birthday boy -  He turned 12 on Saturday-- ( this picture is from Thanksgiving though, I haven't down loaded my phone pictures yet though.  ) Outside my window..... Things are green, and showers today have made my garden very happy I am thinking..... About starting in with some school for the kids next week. About dipping our feet in with some potty training.
