Spring is Springing here at the hobby farm.....

Yesterday we added our first 2 boer goats (meat goats) to our farm-- we are very excited..... they are VERY friendly--as you can see them following Jason and Stephen around.....


We are due with goat kids anyday...

Any day....

Here is Rebekah with "Beautiful" last years kid.....


Look at that UDDER-- I think today will be HER day!!

Big Mamma aka "old faithful" she is a great goat for learning to milk and for the kids... CALM as can be....

We also added 51 broiler (meat) chickens to our farm this week....

They love them.....

Our rabbits-- this is "jingy bell" or "snow bell"

This is "rocky" whom we think may have babies ANY DAY as well....

3 Years, it has been 3 years since I have updated this blog. Hoping to continue to journal our happenings. First I wanted to leave a link for Laine's Letters. Oh my these letters have been SOOOOO  encouraging to me like NOTHING else. She inspired me to spend my morning with the Lord, waiting on Him, listening to Him. She inspired me to love my husband and put him right after the Lord She inspired me to raise and love and train my children in many areas And lastly she even touched on keeping my home, to bring honor to the Lord. Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. As you enter, you'll choose a card with a photo of one of eight immigrant characters, who are fictional composites based on historical facts. You then experience the daily life of that character as you tour the museum. Day Book

The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them. Daybook for the week of June 12, 2016 Picture for the week........                                                The birthday boy -  He turned 12 on Saturday-- ( this picture is from Thanksgiving though, I haven't down loaded my phone pictures yet though.  ) Outside my window.....
