GAPS continues-- week 3?
I don't know I've lost track-- it doesn't seem like drugery anymore. Now that we are seeing fruit from this diet.
Rachel is doing SOOOOO well-- she is such a HAPPY baby now-- no more tummy aches.... she is gaining weight VERY well...and mamma is still losing.. so everyone is happy!
The older boys are doing very well and have recovered from our TERRIBLE snow cone incident!!
The littles are also doing very well-- I am so happy!!!!!!
No one really asks to cheat or trys to either. I think Jason faces the MOST temptation in this area due to leaving the home and eating lunch at work every day.... and sometimes I don't have enough left overs for him-- so I MUST really try to do better so he is WELL STOCKED.
Saturday we went to Jason's aunts to go swimming-- the boys haven't been TRULY swimming all summer (we do go to a local watering hole to get wet)... but we took all our own food and it worked wonderfully. I made some peanutbutter balls, some peanut butter brownies (grain free), deviled eggs, and asian cole slaw. Our original plan then was to get some KFC GRILLED chicken. (I know it's not PERFECT-- but it would 've been FAST and EASY for the day) However once we calculated the cost for all of us (including some relatives) it would've been $60!!! For CHICKEN? (Jason said he could raise 50 chickens for that price!!) So we went with some hot dogs on the grill (w/no bun ofcourse).
SO can you tell the GRAIN FREE FOODIE site is my FAVORITE right now? SO many great recipes there-- ALL GRAIN FREE (of course).
And those Peanutbutter BALLS-- oh MY GOODNESS-- they are SOOOO tastey and SOOOOO easy. The boys and I polished off a whole recipe worth after our school lesson Friday!!!
Now Joshua's birthday is tomorrow-- so we are trying quite a few new recipes for that SPECIAL day. We will start with THESE pancakes for breakfast-- using Coconut Flour.... We went and bought a ice cream maker and to try it out we tried THIS recipe for Chocolate Coconut MILK Ice CREAM!!! Now tomorrow for his actual birthday I have some goat milk being cultured into yogurt-- and we will try THIS recipe with some orange extract. This coconut flour orange cake will be the cake for the day--- I can't wait!!!
Finally I just have 2 GAPS related posts to share:
I loved this-- it is a whole bunch of MENU plans for one person who is on GAPS... I love to see what others are eating on this "plan".
And THIS-- TOTALLY KNOCKED MY SOCKS OFF!!!!!! I need to FIND some BEEF FEET!!!
