A simple snow cone, heh?

A simple snow cone or so I thought... and NO Ours was NOT red-- it was ROOTBEER.....
So we went to a neat little family fun outing in our community yesterday and there were a few treats for which my kids did not ask or even beg (ice cream, french fries) they KNEW better-- they KNEW they would feel very ill if they had them.
However when my oldest son asked nicely if he could have a snow cone-- I thought-- really what hurt could it be?? Ice and some flavoring? We aren't breaking the cardinal rules of our diet (dairy, grain) right???
So the 3 younger children shared a Rootbeer one, Joshua had a cherry one and Zach had a rootbeer one too.....
All seemed well-- no tummy aches or anything....
So we came home around 2:30-3pm and took some naps-- we were tired.... When we woke around 5pm-- I noticed my 2 year old had SUPER SUPER SUPER glassy eyes-- it was really eye catching--- one of the symptoms my kids get when they are getting sick (flu, etc). But she didn't act any different.... so I just kept an eye on her.... nothing-- she seemed fine, except her eyes.... so it was a SUPER late bedtime here due to the late naps-- and when I laid the kids down at 9-9:30pm-- I was ready for bed-- a nice restful sleep, right???????????????
No-- oh my no-- I was awoken EVERY 2 hours with BLOOD CURDLING SCREAMS coming from Rebekahs room!!! She was screaming and crying-- (what I now think are called Night Terrors)-- and what I also looked up to be a sign of a FOOD she CANNOT tolerate.... Oh it was horrific.... I didn't sit back and blame the food-- I did spend time praying over her and with her--that God would calm her mind and body-- and put a healing touch on her-- and I do beleive it could've been MUCH MUCH worse.
She awoke still with GLASSSY eyes-- and I am sure she is still suffering the ill effects of the "treat".
Joshua-- he has aHUGE red sploch on his cheek-- hmmmm-- wonder what caused that!?!
This picture was taken 24 hours LATER....Stephen-- also has the glassey eyes--- hmmmmmmmm
Nathan? Well he had a bowl full of lacto fermetned saurkraut for dinner (HIS CHOICE) and so his body is really fighting-- he has had diareah 3x already today-- but no other symptoms...
So hmmm-- will we EVER have a SIMPLE SNOW CONE again???????????????????????
NO!! We will not!! I cannot beleive the detox symptoms we saw in the last 12 hours!! (I didn't even mention the "diaper" rashes-- which have nothing to do with diapers---but just the exiting of those TOXINS!!)
Ack, that's awful. :(
