Well today was a SUPER busy HOMESTEAD DAY!! ;)

This afternoon we went and picked up our FIRST FARM DOG!!

WELCOME-- PATCHES!!

A four month old border collie (w/ a little mix).....

She is SOOOOO kind-- and SOOOO loving-- and such a GOOD herder!! LOL

Someone stopped by today and mentioned "oh my border collies will herd children too!" I said "Oh I hope so, I could use the help!!" LOL LOL

I'm serious-- she is SUCH a good dog!!

I've only ever had lab's before-- and they are SOOO high strung and well high strung as a puppy-- this one-- is so nice-- she will herd ya' but no jumping or anything like that!!

Here she has the boys herded!! LOL--She will sleep well tonight-- they were riding their bikes and she kept up with them!! heee heeee

Here she is in action!!

** the question of the night for me was how will she do with the goats?" She is made to herd sheep/goats etc... so that is JUST what she wanted to do when I brought them out to milk. But she kept her distance herding them-- she wasn't under their feet or CLOSE to them at all-- they did NOT like her being there-- but SHE did an excellent job!! They will adjust--- because she was very good.

  1. She's really cute and by the look of the pictures, she is going to fit in quite well!
