Decluttering, Making a Home, Homemaking Binder

So a dear friend is getting ready to move 3 hours away (actually I will see her MORE when she makes this move due to moving near where my family lives)... Anyway-- not too big a deal right?? Well she is having a scheduled c-section of her 8th child in 3 weeks also!!! So--- she has a bit of ROAD ahead of her. They are not moving till October 1st-- but I know it takes ME a good 8 weeks to get my feet under me after having a baby-- let alone a MOVE-- with 8 kids!!

Having 8 kids she has also collected a lot of items in her home-- and as some of us can relate-- when you have a large family sometimes EVERYONE gives you bags and bags of stuff. I know she has had quite a few families BLESS her with BAGS of clothes!! So she has a good bit of "stuff" that needs tackled.

I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE to purge and de-clutter....if you did a search for the words "declutter" on my blog it would come up QUITE often... ;) That DOES NOT MEAN my house is CLEAN-- I like to de-clutter (mostly because clutter makes me cranky) but I don't always get to clean like I would like/should. So she is on her own for that.... ;)

So tomorrow I am headed over to her home and we are going to tackle 1 room a day..... I am excited. THe great part is she lives VERY near a "mission" where we can donate a lot of her extra items. (I have to drive mine quite far to donate-- which sometimes means I do not do it like I should).

I think my Housewarming gift to her is going to be a homemaking binder-- I LOVE mine-- and it is so helpful. I have so many different ideas in mine-- for different stages of life. (new born, pregnancy, summer, winter... each stage of life adds a little diffent twist on how things get accomplished)

Here are some things I hope to share with her in the binder and even as we are decluttering:

One other thing I will be sharing with her is my 8 weeks till moving check list. (I really don't mind moving-- great time to declutter-- but yes-- I do have a list for EVERYTHING-- NOT sure I can function with out a LIST!! ;)
