COLD KICKER

Its that time again-- and my ol' Cold Kicker from last year is running low!!
I've found vs. using it with honey like last year it tastes MUCH better in chicken stock-- almost un-noticeable!!

Today we made 3 batches-- (Oh YES-- I was crying a GREAT DEAL making this all up!! WOWWWIEEEEEE) One batch is more than enough for us-- but I made one for Jasons friend at work and one for my mom.


Here they are "finished"-- not quite-- someone didn't check their ACV supply before starting-- so tomorrow I have to run and get more to top all the jars off.





** I really like her recipies-- we have also made her cough and cold recipe!!

Oh my these letters have been SOOOOO  encouraging to me like NOTHING else. She inspired me to spend my morning with the Lord, waiting on Him, listening to Him. Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. As you enter, you'll choose a card with a photo of one of eight immigrant characters, who are fictional composites based on historical facts. You then experience the daily life of that character as you tour the museum. Day Book

The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them.
