Why do goats go into heat when it gets cold?

So today we were unloading hay from our van...and talking about how it is going to be down to 40' outside tonight!! I said-- well that will put our goats into heat-- we'll have to watch MIGUEL (our buck) as we don't want anyone bred this early....

Joshua said "I wonder why goats go into heat when it gets cold?"

Zachary said "Because God decreed it!"

I said "Amen, Amen, and AMEN!!" LOL

(Do you think some kids are working on some Chatechism????) LOL

Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Day Book

The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them.
