Matthew on the Wii standing ALONE

Just have to share.....
Here is our Matthew on January 20th.
Playing Wii, Baseball and bowling STANDING ALONE....
No walker, no holding on to ANYTHING.......
 
Just the Wednesday before we were thrilled he could stand for 20 seconds!!!
 
Just the 2 Thursdays before this he received his first set of AFO's (leg braces)....WHAT a difference it has made in this boys life!!!  WOW!!!
 
TO think he could've been lost in the "system" forever.... I KNOW the Lord has GREAT things for this boy.... I cannot wait to watch!!
 
 
 
  he is bowling-- FREE HANDED...
SO wish I would've videoed him Christmas morning-- holding on to his walker for DEAR LIFE-- hitting his hand on the walker, losing his temper and giving up--
He got so many strikes/spares today-- his first day FREE Handed
His walker his by his side because while his brother is bowling I encourage him to rest for a minute or 2. 10 Frames is a long time.

Ah hem.. yes the Wii may be the single most best Physical Therapy device we have bought!!
Yes-- this is Matthew-- standing AlONE-- WITHOUT his walker... WITHOUT holding on.... playing BASEBALL!!!
He is so funny still this video is 1 minute 38 seconds and he goes from "I hate this" and falling down to scoring and "This is good"!! Cracks me up!!

Immigrant 1880-1914 food budget

So we went on a mini field trip this weekend to the Johnstown Flood Museum and then to the Heritage Center -- "Through Immigrant Eyes, tells a national story in a local context. It captures the imaginations of visitors through its innovative use of interactive media. Rather than simply looking at artifacts, you'll actually experience the sights, sounds and even the smells of immigrants' daily lives, and come away with a more complete understanding of the sacrifices and achievements of these Americans in the making. As you enter, you'll choose a card with a photo of one of eight immigrant characters, who are fictional composites based on historical facts. You then experience the daily life of that character as you tour the museum. Day Book

The best way to get back in (for me) is a Day Book. I'm not sure if they even still have a "Simple Woman's Day Book" or not, but I always enjoyed them. Daybook for the week of June 12, 2016 Picture for the week........                                                The birthday boy -  He turned 12 on Saturday-- ( this picture is from Thanksgiving though, I haven't down loaded my phone pictures yet though.  ) Outside my window.....
